Ultra Petroleum stipulation moves plan confirmation hearing date to Aug. 10 from June 17

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 16 – Ultra Petroleum Corp.’s plan of reorganization confirmation hearing has been adjourned to Aug. 10 from June 17, according to a stipulation and agreed order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The hearing was adjourned at the request of the official committee of unsecured creditors appointed for Ultra Petroleum’s Chapter 11 case.

In addition, the stipulation dictates that fact discovery related to document production and fact depositions must be completed by July 6, expert reports from the company, the committee and any other party that plans to object to the plan must be exchanged by July 13, and all discovery related to the plan must be completed by July 31.

The deadline for several parties, including the committee and its members, any statutory committee appointed in Ultra Petroleum’s Chapter 11 cases, Jonah plaintiffs, the Southern California Public Power Authority, the Turlock Irrigation District, Charles Viscito and Williams Field Services Co., LLC, to object to the plan was extended to 6 p.m. ET on July 31, which is also the extended deadline for unsecured creditors to vote on the plan.

Ultra Petroleum is a natural gas and oil exploration, development and production company based in Englewood, Colo. The company filed bankruptcy on May 14 under Chapter 11 case number 20-32631.
