Ultimate Escapes eyes exclusivity extension amid plan solicitation

Pittsburgh, Oct. 18 - Ultimate Escapes Holdings, LLC is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on its plan of liquidation, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend the exclusive filing period to Dec. 16 from Oct. 17 and the solicitation period to Feb. 13 from Dec. 14, according to the filing.

As previously reported, Ultimate Escapes' disclosure statement was approved earlier this month. The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8.

According to the release, the company is seeking the exclusivity extension "out of an abundance of caution" to solicit votes and to seek confirmation of the plan without the disruption that could be caused by the filing of a competing plan.

A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8.

Ultimate Escapes, a Kissimmee, Fla.-based destination club operator, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 20, 2010. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-12915.
