Ukraine CDS settlement auction brings final price of 80.625

By Marisa Wong

Morgantown, W.Va., Oct. 6 – Credit default swaps referencing the Republic of Ukraine will be settled using a final price of 80.625, according to a notice from Creditex and Markit.

Creditex and Markit administered settlement auctions on Tuesday.

As previously reported, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc.’s EMEA credit derivatives determinations committee resolved that a repudiation/moratorium credit event and a failure to pay credit event occurred in September and decided that an auction would be held.

The auction was, as previously decided, held on an accelerated schedule.
