UBS plans 10.2%-12.2% trigger yield optimization notes on Yamana

New York, Aug. 24 - UBS AG, London Branch plans to price 10.2% to 12.2% trigger yield optimization notes due Aug. 31, 2012 linked to the common stock of Yamana Gold Inc., according to an FWP with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The face amount of each note will be equal to the initial price of Yamana Gold stock.

Interest will be payable monthly. The exact coupon will be set at pricing.

The payout at maturity will be par unless the final price of Yamana Gold stock is less than 75% of the initial share price, in which case investors will receive one Yamana Gold share per note.

The notes (Cusip: 90268C671) are expected to price on Aug. 29 and settle on Aug. 31.
