S&P rates Tucson Electric Power, Ariz., bonds BB-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned a BB- rating to Tucson Electric Power Co.'s proposed offering of up to $121 million of 2008 series A industrial development bonds issued by the Pima County Industrial Development Authority, Ariz.

At the same time, S&P said it raised its secured ratings for the power company one notch to BB-.

The outlook is stable.
