Trump gets three-month exclusivity extension to await effective date

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 28 – Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. received an additional three-month extension of its exclusive Chapter 11 plan filing and solicitation periods, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company’s filing period was extended to Dec. 3 from Aug. 5 and its solicitation period to Feb. 3, 2016 from Oct. 6.

Trump said it was requesting the extension “out of an abundance of caution” while it awaits the effective date of its joint plan of reorganization.

As previously reported, the court confirmed Trump’s third amended plan on March 12.

The company said in the motion that the plan effective date has not yet occurred because some conditions, including a collective bargaining agreement order becoming final, have not yet been met.

Trump Entertainment Resorts, an Atlantic City-based owner and operator of casino resort properties, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 9, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-12103.
