True Religion Apparel requests three-month extension of plan periods

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 10 – True Religion Apparel, Inc. requested an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

If approved, True Religion’s exclusive plan-filing period would be extended by 90 days through Nov. 9 and the solicitation period through Jan. 8.

The company said it has made significant progress in administering its cases in the four months it has been in Chapter 11.

“The extension requested in this motion will provide the debtors and their advisers the opportunity to solicit, confirm and implement the terms of the plan,” the motion said.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17.

True Religion is a Vernon, Calif.-based jeans and jeans-related sportswear company. The company filed bankruptcy on April 13 under Chapter 11 case number 20-10941.
