Moody's affirms A2 rating for Rensselaer long-term debt

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the A2 rating on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy Industrial Development, Authority, N.Y.'s long-term debt in connection with the school's upcoming issue of $90 million of series 2008 variable-rate demand bonds.

The outlook remains negative.

The tender feature of the new bonds is supported by a Bank of America letter of credit.
