Moody's gives A1 to Troup County bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an initial A1 rating to Troup County, Ga.'s $50 million revenue anticipation certificates, series 2008A, issued through the LaGrange/Troup County Hospital Authority.

Sale of the certificates was expected on June 30.

Moody's also assigned an A1 issuer rating to Troup County, reflecting Moody's assessment of the implied general obligation credit characteristics. The county does not have any plans to issue general obligation debt at this time.
