Tropicana Atlantic City reports $1.56 million operating loss for June

Pittsburgh, July 23 - Tropicana Atlantic City Casino and Resort reported a $1.56 million operating loss for June on $26.72 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

The net loss for the month was $6.57 million.

Tropicana had $54.15 million in cash and cash equivalents at June 30.

This was the company's first operating report since its bankruptcy filing.

The Tropicana is one of the largest casino hotels in Atlantic City. It filed for bankruptcy on April 29. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-20711.
