Trigeant lender BTB seeks court assistance in completing repossession

By Kali Hays

New York, Feb. 26 - Trigeant, Ltd. lender BTB Refining, LLC filed a motion for court assistance in its repossession of personal property from a Trigeant refinery, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

A court gave permission for BTB to "obtain all personal property" from Trigeant on Jan. 30, and BTB "immediately commenced repossessing tangible personal property from the refinery premises of the debtor," the filing stated.

BTB claims that Trigeant is "hindering the completion of the process" by refusing to allow it to remove BTB business records and to search for missing tools, as well as by banning BTB's refining manager and operations manager, who have been overseeing the repossession, from the refinery premises.

BTB is seeking a court order "unconditionally requiring Trigeant" to surrender all of its personal belongings and records, allowing inspection of all premises at the refinery and allowing its banned employees to continue overseeing the repossession.

Trigeant, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based, petroleum company, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-38580.
