JPMorgan, J.P. Morgan Securities buy $32.96 million in claims against Tricom

Pittsburgh, March 30 - JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA and J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd. bought a total of $32.96 million of UBS AG's claims against Tricom SA, according to Friday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, JPMorgan bought a $21.13 million claim from UBS AG, London Branch and UBS AG, Stamford Branch, and J.P. Morgan Securities bought an $11.83 million claim from UBS AG, London Branch.

Tricom, a full-service telecommunications provider based in the Dominican Republic, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 29, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10720.
