Tribune reports $5.29 million operating loss for Dec. 8 to Dec. 28

Pittsburgh, Feb. 12 - Tribune Co. reported a $5.29 million operating loss for the period of Dec. 8 to Dec. 28 on $212.97 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The net loss for the period was $947.14 million.
The company had $561.71 million in cash and cash equivalents at Dec. 28, compared with $316.87 million at Dec. 7.
Tribune, a Chicago-based media company, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 8. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13141.
