Portland, Ore., Dec. 14 - Tribune Co. received a shorter-than-requested extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Tribune' exclusive plan-filing period was extended to Feb. 28 from Nov. 30 and the solicitation period to April 29 from Jan. 29.

The company had requested the exclusive plan-filing period be extended to March 31 and the solicitation period to May 31.

An evidentiary hearing to consider any request for further extension is scheduled for Feb. 18.
