Tribune posts $25.64 million operating profit for Sept. 28 to Oct. 25

Pittsburgh, Nov. 25 - Tribune Co. reported $25.64 million of operating profit for the period of Sept. 28 to Oct. 25 on $233.23 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The figures showed a decline from the $40.67 million of operating income posted for the period of Aug. 31 to Sept. 27 on $249.21 million in total revenues.

Net income for Sept. 28 to Oct. 25 was $16.42 million, down from $26.40 million for Aug. 31 to Sept. 27.

The company had $794.83 million of cash and cash equivalents at Oct. 25, up from $758.39 million at Sept. 27.

Tribune, a Chicago-based media company, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 8, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13141.
