Tribune unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Dec. 18 - Tribune Co.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Thursday by acting Region 3 U.S. trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members include Miriam Kulnis of JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA, New York; Michael O'Brien of Merrill Lynch Capital Corp., New York; Stanley Burg of Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas, New York; Wayne M. Smith of Warner Bros. Television, Burbank, Calif.; John V. Howard Jr. of Vertis, Inc., Baltimore; William Niese; Craig Yamaoka of Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., Washington, D.C.; and Robert E. Paul and/or William Salganik of Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild, Local 32035, Washington, D.C.

Tribune, a Chicago-based media company, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 8. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13141.
