S&P: No ratings affect from Triad upsizing

Standard & Poor's said the ratings and outlook on Triad Hospitals Inc. (BB-/Positive/--) are not affected by the company's announcement Thursday of an increase in the expected size of its upcoming subordinated note offering.

The company will offer $600 million in senior subordinated notes rather than the previously announced $450 million. The larger size does not indicate any change in the company's plans and there will be no material change in its credit protection measures, considering that a significant portion of the increment is likely to repay existing debt.
