Fitch assigns A to Travelers notes

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to Travelers Cos., Inc.'s issuance of $750 million of 30-year senior unsecured notes.

The ratings are equivalent to the ratings on Travelers’ outstanding senior notes, the agency said.

The proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is stable.
