Transport Industries requests exclusivity extension to finalize plan

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., May 15 - Transport Industries LP requested a two-month extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend the exclusive plan-filing period to July 21 from May 22 and the solicitation period to Sept. 22 from July 24.

Transport said it has provided its official committee of unsecured creditors with a draft of a plan but still needs to finalize the terms of it.

A hearing has been scheduled for June 22.

Transport Industries, a Dallas-based third-party provider of transportation services, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 20. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-12430.
