Transport America to price initial public offering of common stock

Baird, Stifel are bookrunners; BB&T, Stephens will be co-managers

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 17 - Transport America, Inc. will price its initial public offering of common stock with a greenshoe to be offered by selling shareholders, according to a Form S-1 filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Baird and Stifel are the joint bookrunning managers. BB&T Capital Markets and Stephens Inc. are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used for debt repayment.

The Eagan, Minn., company provides truckload transportation and logistics services to shippers in the United States and Mexico. It intends to list its common stock on the Nasdaq under the symbol "TRAM."
