Kopp buys more shares of Transgenomic

Charlotte, N.C., May 30 - Investors led by Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC increased their stake in Transgenomic, Inc. to 20.58%, from 19.5% on May 9.

Kopp and its affiliates bought 673,500 shares of the company's stock between May 5 and May 20 priced from $0.57 to $0.79 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 10,122,065 shares of the Omaha-based biotechnology company.
