Fitch puts TransDigm notes on watch

Fitch Ratings said it placed TransDigm Inc.'s B-/RR5 senior subordinated notes on rating Watch negative.

TransDigm Group, parent of TransDigm, has announced plans to acquire Aviation Technologies Inc. and plans to issue debt to fund most of the $430 million acquisition, the agency added.

Fitch said it does not expect the following ratings to be affected by the acquisition and the debt issued to fund it: TransDigm Group's issuer default rating at B and TransDigm's issuer default rating at B and senior secured bank debt at BB-/RR2.

According to Fitch, the rating Watch negative is based on the likelihood of a decline in expected recovery in a distressed scenario for the senior subordinated notes.
