TransAlta investor Children's Investment sells 2.3 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., March 6 - TransAlta Corp. investors led by the Children's Investment Master Fund sold 2,271,009 shares of the company's stock between Jan. 15 and March 5.

The shares were priced from $14.162 to $18.766 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between Sept. 9 and Jan. 14 the investors sold 2,625,491 shares, a prior SEC filing said.

Children's Investment Master Fund beneficially owns 9,804,900 shares, or 4.96%, of the Calgary, Alta., electric energy company.
