Townsends unsecured creditors committee appointed by U.S. Trustee

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 30 - Townsends, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by Region 3 U.S. Trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Ronald Borcky of International Paper Co. of Memphis; Wesley J. Mahlberg of Commodity Specialists Co. of Minneapolis; Paul D. Calahan of Cargill Inc. of Kansas City, Mo.; Gerald Sahd of Novus International Inc. of Saint Charles, Mo.; and Virginia Jones of Install Inc. of Sanford, N.C.,

Townsends, a Georgetown, Del.-based poultry processor, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 19. Its Chapter 11 case number is 10-14092.
