Tower Automotive posts $12.03 million April operating loss

Pittsburgh, May 31 - Tower Automotive, Inc. reported a $12.03 million operating loss for April on revenues of $91.51 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures show a decline over a $2.81 million operating loss for March on revenues of $93.65 million.

The April net loss was $22.23 million, down from a $12.4 million March net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on April 30 were $961,000, compared with $7.92 million at the end of March.

The Novi, Mich.-based auto parts maker filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 1, 2005. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-10578.
