Protein Polymer, Thuris end merger talks

Tampa, Fla., July 28 - Protein Polymer Technologies, Inc. and Thuris Corp. have discontinued discussions of a merger.

Protein Polymer had previously signed a letter of intent to merge with Thuris in November 2005.

Thuris is a privately held biopharmaceutical company located in Irvine, Calif.

Protein Polymer is a biotechnology company located in San Diego.
