ITV buys back €34.51 million 2.25% exchangeables

New York, Sept. 28 - ITV plc said it bought back €34.51 million of its 2.25% exchangeable bonds due 2007.

The company now has €482.87 million of the exchangeables outstanding.

The bonds, which exchange into Thomson stock, were originally issued by Carlton Communications plc in November 2001 and were transferred to ITV plc in July following the merger of Carlton and Granada plc.

ITV said on Sept. 22 it had sold its entire holding of 15.5 million shares in Thomson and had put hedging arrangements in place for the exchangeables.

ITV is a London-based television broadcaster.
