Third Avenue's Matthew Fine to co-manage International Value Fund

Minneapolis, Dec. 30 - Third Avenue Management announced that Matthew Fine is the co-manager for the Third Avenue International Value Fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Fine joins Amit Wadhwaney, and the two will manage the fund together after Jan. 1.

Fine joined Third Avenue Management in 2000 and began working with Wadhwaney in an effort to identify investment opportunities in the wake of the Argentine crisis, according to the filing.

He has conducted investment research on location in more than 20 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Fine joined the company's research and portfolio management team as a research assistant. He became a senior research analyst in 2008 and a partner of the firm in 2009.

Third Avenue is based in New York.
