Thacher Proffitt hires McDonald as bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice group partner

Pittsburgh, March 5 - Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP has hired Hugh McDonald as partner in its bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice group, according to a news release.

McDonald will be based in New York, and he came to Thacher Proffitt from his position as a partner in the New York office of Allen & Overy.

In his role at Thacher Proffitt, McDonald will focus on all aspects of restructuring, including workouts, bankruptcy and related issues and bankruptcy-related litigation.

McDonald earned his law degree from New York Law School and his bachelor's degree from Boston College. He has written several articles on bankruptcy and creditors' rights.

Thacher Proffitt is a law firm with locations in New York, Washington, D.C., White Plains, N.Y., Summit, N.J. and Mexico City.
