Fitch rates Texas G.O. notes F1+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an F1+ rating to the Texas Public Finance Authority's $1 billion of State of Texas general obligation commercial paper notes, series 2008, program.

Offering of the notes is expected on March 28 in an initial amount of $300 million.

Fitch said it also affirmed the F1+ rating for the authority's outstanding series 2003, 2002A and 2002B commercial paper whose liquidity is furnished by the state.
