Moody's gives P-1 to Texas commercial paper

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a P-1 rating to the State of Texas' $300 million of general obligation commercial paper notes, series 2008, issued through the Texas Public Finance Authority.

The rating reflects a standby bonds purchase agreement with the State Comptroller.
