S&P up Deer Park I.S.D., Texas, to AA+

Standard & Poor's said it upgraded its rating on Deer Park Independent School District, Texas, to AA+ from AA and assigned its AA+ standard long-term rating to the district's $56.3 million series 2008 limited-tax school building bonds.

The upgrade is based on the district's maintenance of strong reserves and strong management, S&P said.

S&P also affirmed its AAA enhanced rating on the district's outstanding general obligation debt, reflecting the guarantee provided by the Texas Permanent School Fund.

The outlook is stable.
