Fitch rates Texas water bonds AA+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an AA+ rating to the State of Texas' $117.285 million of general obligation bonds State of Texas water financial assistance bonds, series 2008A (Water Infrastructure Fund).

Sale of the bonds is expected May 6 by negotiation.

Fitch also said it affirmed the AA+ rating on the state's G.O. bonds.

The outlook is stable.
