Tesoro files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 18 - Tesoro Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, common stock, preferred stock and warrants.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Tesoro is a San Antonio-based petroleum refiner.
