SAC Capital reports 5.2% ownership interest in Terra Industries

Charlotte, N.C., May 11 - SAC Capital Advisors, LP reported beneficial ownership of 5,150,500 shares, or 5.2%, of Terra Industries Inc. following a series of buy and sell transactions between March 11 and May 8.

According to a schedule 13D filed on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, SAC used approximately $131,576,760 of investment capital to buy the shares in the open market.

Terra is Sioux City, Iowa, nitrogen products company.
