Tennessee defeases $58.98 million of 2009 C general obligation bonds

Norfolk, Va., Aug. 19 – The State of Tennessee defeased $58,975,000 of its 2009 series C general obligation bonds, according to a notice.

The 5% bonds, which are due May 1, 2026 through 2030, will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on May 1, 2018:

Tennessee originally issued the bonds in the amount of $235.89 million.

Regions Bank is the refunding trustee.
