BBVA to tender for Unnim Banc preferreds, subordinated debt at 95

Chicago, Sept. 28 - Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA said it plans to tender for its preference shares and subordinated debt securities issued by companies succeeded by Unnim Banc, SAU.

The purchase price will be 95% of par in cash.

Covered by the offer are Caixa de Terrassa Societat de Participacions Preferents SAU's €50 million series A preferred shares at par of €1,000 each, CaixaSabadell Preferents SAU's €75 million series A preferred shares at par of €1,000 each and Caixa de Manlleu Preferents SAU's €18 million series A preferred shares at par of €500 each as well as 12 series of Unnim securities listed in the table below.

The sale price of the BBVA shares will be the average of the closing BBVA share prices from Oct. 12 to Oct. 18, according to a company press release.

The tender offer will end Oct. 18, with settlement slated for Oct. 25.

BBVA is a financial group based in Madrid.
