Illinois calls $192 million of 2002 G.O. bonds for October redemption

Kansas City, Kan., Aug. 21 - The State of Illinois will redeem its series of October 2002 general obligation bonds, according to multiple notices.

The following bonds will be redeemed on Oct. 1 at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date:

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2013;

• $16 million of 5.25% first series bonds due Oct. 1, 2014;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2015;

• $16 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2016;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2017;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2018;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2019;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2020;

• $16 million of 5.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2021;

• $16 million of 4.75% bonds due Oct. 1, 2022;

• $16 million of 4.8% bonds due Oct. 1, 2023; and

• $16 million of 4.85% bonds due Oct. 1, 2024.

The state treasurer of Springfield, Ill., is the paying agent.
