Citi announces tender offer for £2.18 billion, CHF 400 million notes

Tacoma, Wash., Aug. 1 - Citigroup Inc. will be offering to purchase some of its outstanding notes from holders located or residing outside the United States, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The offer is expected to be open until 11 a.m. ET on Aug. 8.

The following notes are subject to the offer:

• £750 million of 7.625% notes due 2018;

• £225 million of 6.25% notes due 2019;

• £400 million of 6.5% notes due 2030;

• £800 million of 6.8% notes due 2038; and

• CHF 400 million of 3% notes due 2019.

The offers are not being made, and will not be made, directly or indirectly, in or into the United States.
