New Orleans calls $81.37 million of two G.O. refunding bond series

Kansas City, Kan., July 30 - The city of New Orleans will redeem all of its series 1998 and 2002 general obligation refunding bonds, according to two notices.

The following bonds are affected:

$22,955,000 of 4.75% series 1998 bonds due Dec. 1, 2026;

$48,415,000 of 5.125% series 2002 bonds due Sept. 1, 2021; and

$10 million of 5.375% series 2002 bonds due Sept. 1, 2021.

The 1998 bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 29, and the 2002 bonds will be redeemed on Sept. 4. All of the bonds will be redeemed at par.
