Massachusetts Water Pollution Abatement rescinds bond redemptions

Kansas City, Kan., July 5 - Massachusetts Water Pollution Abatement Trust rescinded the planned redemption of various MWRA program and pool program bonds, according to a series of notices.

The trust planned to redeem the following:

• $77,515,000 of series 2002A MWRA program bonds;

• $36,445,000 of series 8 pool program bonds;

• $87.64 million of series 7 pool program bonds;

• $21,905,000 of series 6 pool program bonds;

• $29.37 million of series 5 pool program bonds; and

• $7,505,000 of series 4 pool loan program bonds.

The redemption notices were originally released on June 29. The bonds were to be redeemed Aug. 1 at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.
