Los Angeles County, Calif., transportation authority calls some proposition C bonds

Kansas City, Kan., July 2 - The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will redeem portions of its series 1999-A, 2009-C1, 2009-C2, 2009-C3 and 2009-C4 senior proposition C sales tax revenue and revenue refunding bonds, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed July 30 at par, plus accrued interest to July 29.

The following bonds are affected:

$15.02 million of 4.75% series 1999-A bonds due July 1, 2028;

$22.4 million of weekly rate series 2009-C4 bonds due July 1, 2025;

$22,425,000 of weekly rate series 2009-C2 bonds due July 1, 2025;

$22.4 million of weekly rate series 2009-C3 bonds due July 1, 2025; and

$22.4 million of weekly rate series 2009-C1 bonds due July 1, 2025.

The authority said the redemptions are dependent upon the issuance of series 2012-A and 2012-B senior proposition C sales tax revenue refunding bonds.
