Altra to redeem $21 million of 8 1/8% notes due 2016 at 103 on July 31

Chicago, June 29 - Altra Holdings, Inc. plans to redeem $21 million of its 8 1/8% senior secured notes due 2016 on July 31.

The company will pay 103 plus accrued interest to but not including the redemption date, according to a press release.

After settlement, there will be $177 million of the notes outstanding.

The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA (800 254-2826) is the trustee and paying agent.

"This transaction is another example of our continued efforts to strengthen our balance sheet, which remains attractive and able to support initiatives consistent with our long-term organic and acquisition growth strategies," Carl Christenson, president and chief executive officer, said in the release.

The Braintree, Mass.-based company is a supplier of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products.
