North Carolina Eastern Municipal defeases bonds from three series

Kansas City, Kan., June 11 - North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency has defeased portions of its series 1986A, 1993B and 2003F refunding power system revenue bonds, according to a notice.

The refunding series 1986A bonds due Jan. 1, 2017 and the refunding series 1993B bonds due Jan. 1, 2017 and Jan. 1, 2021 will be redeemed on July 1. The refunding series 2003F bonds due Jan. 1 of the years 2015 through 2017 will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2013.

All of the bonds will be redeemed at par.
