South Central Connecticut authority defeases three water bond series

Kansas City, Kan., June 7 - South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority announced the defeasance of its seventeenth series water system revenue refunding bonds and eighteenth series A and nineteenth series A water system revenue bonds.

The seventeenth series bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, the eighteenth series bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, 2013 and the nineteenth series bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, 2014, all at par.

The following seventeenth series bonds are affected:

• $2.34 million of 5.25% bonds due Aug. 1, 2013;

• $2.47 million of 5.25% bonds due Aug. 1, 2014;

• $1,195,000 of 5.25% bonds due Aug. 1, 2015; and

• $1.27 million of 5.25% bonds due Aug. 1, 2016.

The following eighteenth series bonds are affected:

• $3.89 million of 4.625% bonds due Aug. 1, 2027;

• $4.07 million of 4.625% bonds due Aug. 1, 2028;

• $4,255,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2029;

• $7.23 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2030;

• $9.7 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2013;

• $10,205,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2032; and

• $19,895,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2033.

The following nineteenth series bonds are affected:

• $895,000 of 3.75% bonds due Aug. 1, 2016;

• $930,000 of 3.75% bonds due Aug. 1, 2017;

• $965,000 of 4% bonds due Aug. 1, 2018;

• $1,005,000 of 4% bonds due Aug. 1, 2019;

• $1,045,000 of 4% bonds due Aug. 1, 2020;

• $1.09 million of 4.125% bonds due Aug. 1, 2021; and

• $1.14 million of 4.25% bonds due Aug. 1, 2022.
