Union County, N.C., announces $27 million defeasance of G.O. bonds

Kansas City, Kan., May 18 - Union County of North Carolina has defeased $27 million of series 2007D general obligation school bonds, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed March 1, 2017 at par.

The affected bonds include the following:

• $6 million of bonds due March 1, 2020;

• $6 million of bonds due March 1, 2021;

• $6 million of bonds due March 1, 2022;

• $6 million of bonds due March 1, 2023; and

• $3 million of bonds due March 1, 2024.

U.S. Bank, NA is the agent.
