Scotiabank Capital Trust to redeem all series 2002-1 trust securities

Minneapolis, May 16 - Bank of Nova Scotia said that Scotiabank Capital Trust intends to redeem all issued and outstanding Scotiabank trust securities, series 2002-1.

The securities will be redeemed at C$1,000 each plus distributions on June 30, according to a press release.

Scotiabank is a Toronto-based bank.
