Mesa, Ariz., defeases $68.83 million of 2002 utility systems bonds

Kansas City, Kan., May 2 - The City of Mesa, Ariz., has defeased some of its series 2002 utility systems revenue refunding bonds, according to a notice.

The following bonds are affected:

• $12.4 million of bond no. 5 due July 1, 2013;

• $13,045,000 of bond no. 6 due July 1, 2014;

• $13,735,000 of bond no. 7 due July 1, 2015;

• $14.45 million of bond no. 8 due July 1, 2016; and

• $15.2 million of bond no. 9 due July 1, 2017.

The bonds will be redeemed at maturity.
