Birmingham to redeem $53.58 million of health care revenue bonds

Minneapolis, May 2 - The Special Care Facilities Financing Authority of the City of Birmingham, Ala., called $53,575,000 of its series 2002 health care facility revenue bonds, which were issued for the Children's Hospital, according to a redemption notice.

The following bonds will be redeemed at par plus applicable premium on June 1:

• $1,605,000 of 5.25% bonds due June 1, 2013;

• $1,685,000 of 4.4% bonds due June 1, 2014;

• $1.76 million of 4.5% bonds due June 1, 2015;

• $1.84 million of 4.6% bonds due June 1, 2016;

• $1.93 million of 4.7% bonds due June 1, 2017;

• $2.03 million of 5.25% bonds due June 1, 2018;

• $2.14 million of 5.25% bonds due June 1, 2019;

• $2.25 million of 5% bonds due June 1, 2020;

• $7.51 million of 5.375% bonds due June 1, 2023;

• $12.01 million of 5% bonds due June 1, 2027; and

• $18,815,000 of 5% bonds due June 1, 2032.
