Nueces, Texas, defeases $26.72 million of certificates of obligation

Minneapolis, March 29 - Nueces County, Texas, defeased $26.72 million of its combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation, series 2004, according to a notice.

The following 5% certificates will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Feb. 15, 2014:

• $3,525,000 of certificates due Feb. 15, 2015;

• $5,715,000 of certificates due Feb. 15, 2023;

• $6,005,000 of certificates due Feb. 15, 2024;

• $5,595,000 of certificates due Feb. 15, 2025; and

• $5.88 million of certificates due Feb. 15, 2026.

The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the trustee.
